Jacqueline Kington trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School where roles whilst training included Maria in Twelfth Night, Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream and the title role in Ibsen's Hedda Gabler. Her non-Shakespearean classical credits include doubling Isabella and Zanche in John Doyle's production of John Webster's The White Devil at the Liverpool Everyman in 1991. She played Mrs. Candour in Richard Brinsley Sheridan's The School for Scandal at the Liverpool Everyman in 1992.
She has recorded that she has given up acting as a career break. Kington is listed as studying for an Advanced Diploma in Nursing - Mental Health at the University of Bradford, according to student profiles on the university's website (http://www.bradford.ac.uk/health/career-areas/mental-health-nursing/stud...). Her biography in the 2000 NT Education As You Like It programme also records an appearance at the York Theatre Royal A Midsummer Night's Dream, which BBAS is attempting to confirm.
