Indra Ove trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama. She played Desdemona in  1995 film of  Othello, directed by Oliver Parker. She is the daughter of Trinidadian-born  Horace Ove, who  in 1975 became the first Black filmmaker to direct a feature film (Pressure) in the UK.
