This was based on Toby Robertson's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, staged in 1985 at the Open Air Theatre.

"But it mustn't be supposed that this revival, directed by David Conville and Emma Freud from Toby Robertson's 1985 version, is crammed with tricks. Far from it. The costumes are beautifully in period, for a start and what a change that makes. And though Simon Higlett's setting implies and [sic] touring troupe which has paused with its wagon and property baskets to divert the locals...the author would recognise his piece if he could see it...Beverley Hills a sprited Hermia." ~ Eric Shorter, "A Dream in the Open Air", Daily Telegraph, 31 July 1986
