This production had its press night on 1 June 1967. It subsequently toured internationally to Helsinki, Leningrad and Moscow in November and December 1967. The production ran at the Aldwych Theatre, London from 17 January 1968. According to the RSC performance database, it had major cast changes in the leading roles from 14 February and also played in Paris; there is no mention of cast changes relevant to this database.
Alton Kumalo is listed in the Stratford programme specifically as 'Servant to Bertram'; in order to more easily track numbers of castings, we have left Kumalo's entry as generic 'Servant'.
