Vicky Licorish was born in Paddington in 1959 and is an actress and television producer. She graduated from Oxford University and then worked extensively on the London and Edinburgh fringe circuits. Licorish's parents were from St Lucia and came to the UK after they eloped.

Licorish produced the multi-award winning adaptation of Andrea Levy's novel Small Island, which centres around a couple from Jamaica who come to the UK in the post-Windrush era. (http://www.standard.co.uk/showbiz/putting-small-island-on-the-big-screen...)
