Nathaniel Martello-White trained with the National Youth Theatre and RADA, from which he graduated in 2006. He is the author of Blackta, a satirical play which exposes the highs and lows of making it as a black actor, which was directed for the Young Vic by artistic director David Lan in 2012. He was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2011 whene he played in The City Madam and Marat/Sade. His classical roles include Spencer in Marlowe's Edward II at the National Theatre in 2013. According to his CV he played Romeo in a National Theatre touring production of Romeo and Juliet.
