Heather Imani has a background in prose fiction and holds an MA in Screenwriting from the Northern Film School at Leeds Metropolitan University. She has garnered multiple awards for her feature film MILO. Imani's biography in the Romeo and Juliet programme also states that she "studies [sic] languages at university - and then plunged into the world of the theatre. She has toured Britain and Canada with Bac to Bac Theatre, the French-speaking company."
