"Gordon Heath, born in New York, started his career as an American Radio announcer, transferred his interests to the theatre where he played Hamlet and later the leading part in Deep Are the Roots. After three and a half years on Broadway with this play, he came to England to play the same part in London and on tour. For the past two years has been running his own club in Paris which specialises in Folk songs and music. Is a brilliant musician, both on the guitar and violin", reads his biography in the programme for the Arts Council's production of Othello.
