Dhobi Oparei's biography in the 1989 RSC  Troilus and Cressida programme  notes that he "produced, directed and performed the title role in a workshop production of King Lear for the Sydney Theatre Company and appeared in Angels in America and Six Degrees of Separation" and that he has extensive appearances on Australian television. Also known as DeObia Oparei. In the TV series of Game of Thrones (2014) he played Areo Hotah.
