Her biography in the Library Theatre, Manchester's production of Shylock provides this information: "Anastasia, who until recently was known as Esther Byrd, began her singing career as a cabaret artist in Great Britain and abroad. Since that time she has released a number of records both as solo artist and as the lead singer of The Ozo Band....She can also be heard singing three songs from Shylock recorded last year when she also played the role of Portia at the Haymarket Theatre, Leicester."
