The production ran from 18 January - 5 February 1983. It toured subsequently to the Theatre Royal, Bath from 28 February - 5 March 1983; no further dates are known. The programme states that the play is set in Ilyria, "part of the Austro-Hungarian empire, prior to the Great War."
