The production was a site-specific prelude to the 2015 opening of a new arts centre on First Street in Manchester. The marketing stated that "The three Victorian swimming pools will be transformed into a world where family loyalties, pride, faith and passion result in bitter tragedy. Presented as a contemporary fairy tale in a setting inspired by a criminal underworld of Eastern Europe, discover a cast of bold and colourful characters and music by Macedonian composer Nicola Kodjabashia."
