This production was first presented at the 1970 Edinburgh Festival and subsequently toured the UK and played in repertory with The World's A Stage (a devised entertainment by George Rylands and Richard Marquand), including a run at the Arts Theatre Cambridge from 2- 14 November 1970.
The cast list above is taken from that listed in the programme for the Arts Theatre. Joseph Charles recounted to Professor Tony Howard in an interview for this project playing Don John in the production. As of yet, there are no dates for Charles's takeover of the role.
