"Paul Farnsworth's design is a bright, Magritte-inspired universe, part present day Southampton, part Alice's Wonderland. There's a police motor bike, a portable town clock and a shifting shore line, and like David Annen's wide-eyed, bewildered Antipholus of Syracuse, you're never sure what's coming next, but eager to enjoy it anyway. Sandford's taste for zany, however, is never allowed to over-ride his desire to get the basics right as well. Even the minor characters have been well thought through..." ~ Mick Martin, The Guardian, 27 Februrary 1997
