"Brave: that's one way to describe Mark Leipacher's production of Richard III. More than two dozen actors crowd the black-box theatre's small stage to recite pretty much the entirety of Shakespeare's early history play - major cuts are for wimps. There are no props either: when a chair is called for, the players' bodies create the necessary illusion. Richard's horse is a splendid human-flesh-and-bones creation, and the seething floor of crawling ghosts is a memorable image of the sort that's only possible if you're not averse to having a crowd on stage....The dress code is present-day smart-casual. A little more formality in the costume department might have helped to identify the characters." ~ Robert Shore, Time Out London, 23 October 2008, in Theatre Record 2008, Issue 21
