The Taming of the Shrew (2011): Royal Shakespeare Company, Young People's Shakespeare (touring)
PRINCIPAL CAST: Madeline Appiah (Katherina); Caroline Martin (Baptista Minola); Nikesh Patel (Petruchio); Emily Plumtree (Bianca).
The press release states that "The production is an introduction to Shakespeare for children eight and upwards, and their families. It is inspired by Stand Up For Shakespeare, the RSC's manifesto for Shakespeare in schools which calls for children and young people to See Shakespeare Live, Start Shakespeare Earlier and Do Shakespeare on their Feet." The production toured schools from 19 September - 5 October 2011 as well as playing at the Swan Theatre in Stratford.
