She played Juliet for Josie Rourke at the Liverpool Playhouse three months after leaving RADA; it was her professional stage debut. At the RSC in 2003, she understudied Emma Fielding as Isabella in Measure for Measure, Eve Myles as Lavinia in Titus Andronicus and Lisa Stevenson as Lady Anne in Richard III.
