Okon Jones (sometimes credited as Okon Ubanga Jones) trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and then in New York after studying biochemistry at the University of London. His biography in the programe for Salisbury Playhouse's "Master Harold"...and the Boys states that he is of British and Nigerian origins.  Jones made his stage debut in the original production of Zigger Zagger at the National Youth Theatre. He is an actor and a blues guitarist. His acting credits include Arthur Miller's The American Clock at the National Theatre and Hoke Coleburn in Driving Miss Daisy and Adam in Frank McGuinness's play Somone Who'll Watch Over Me at the Salisbury Playhouse.
