Kevin Harvey grew up in Liverpool and developed an interest in theatre at the age of 12 when he used the Liverpool Everyman's free arts resources. He was nominated for an Olivier award for his role in Dael Orlandersmith's Yellowman, which was produced at the Liverpool Everyman and the Hampstead Theatre, London in 2004.
