Other work has included the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet at the Grove Theatre, Hammersmith (Programme bio for the Young Vic 1986 A Midsummer Night's Dream). Richardson was named Best Actress at the Manchester Evening News awards for her performance in the Contact Theatre, Manchester's From the Mississippi Delta, an award she shared with Josette Bushell-Mingo and Pauline Black.
