Josette Simon is a British actor from Leicester of Antiguan descent. She trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama. She has worked with the RSC between 1982 and 1985, returning in 1999. She was awarded an OBE in 2000 for services to drama. Simon was nominated for the Plays and Players Best Actress award for her role in Golden Girls at the RSC in 1985. She played Maggie in Arthur Miller's After the Fall, directed by Howard Davies at the National Theatre, for which she received the Evening Standard Best Performance by an Actress Award in 1990. She has worked extensively in television and film.
