Joseph Jones trained at Drama Centre, London. His other classical credits include playing Gaveston in Christopher Marlowe's Edward II at the Octagon Theatre, Bolton in May 1996 (directed by Lawrence Till and Kate Raper). Jones was nominated for Best Actor in the Manchester Evening News awards for his performance in Athol Fugard's My Children! My Africa! at the Ocatgon Theatre, Bolton in April - May 1995. Jones also appeared in Macbeth at the Everyman, Liverpool (Edward II programme.)

 

 

Wyllie Longmore won Best Actor in the Manchester Evening News awards for his performance in My Children! My Africa! By Athol Fugard, directed by Ian Forrest.

 

It also won Best Production and Joseph Jones and Amanda Pointer were nominated for Best Actor and Best Actress. – Show ran 26 April – 20 May 1995
