Before being cast in Michael Attenborough's King Lear as Regan, she had already developed a working relationship with the director having appeared at the Almeida Theatre three times prior to the Shakespeare production, including in two plays directed by Attenborough:

*Jules played Mama Nadi in a production of Ruined at Arena Stage in Washington, D.C. one of the city's major Equity houses. That production was directed by Charles Randolph White. This was after the Almeida production.
