Jason Pennycooke has extensive musical theatre credits and was nominated for the Olivier Award for Best New Musical for The Big Life, in which he starred, choreographed and was Resident Director. He was also nominated for an Olivier Award for his performance as Jacob in La Cage aux Folles in 2008-2009. He has also been nominated for Olivier Awards for Choreography for Soul Sister at the Savoy Theatre and Porgy and Bess at the Savoy Theatre (directed by Trevor Nunn).
