Jah-Man Aggrey was born in Sierra Leone. He trained at Tarule Youth Tiata and Tabule Tiata. Aggrey's experience as a performance artist in Freetown, Sierra Leone included work with Wara Theatre Company, the Kallondo Dance Theatre and as writer, director and performer with the Afrikan Kultural Kontraktors "presenting traditional, ritual dance dramas." In the UK, Aggrey has worked as a guest writer and performer with Gbakanda Afrikan Tiata, Leeds and the Afrikan Kultural Kontraktors. Aggrey also trained and directed Sewa Afrikan Dance Group at Handsworth Cultural Centre, Birmingham from 1992 - 1995. (Birmingham Repprogramme).
