Jacqueline Dankworth trained at the Guildhall School of Speech and Drama where she appeared as Terry in the British premiere of Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along. She is the daughter of jazz musician, arranger and composer Sir John Dankworth and the singer Dame Cleo Laine (whose Shakespearean work is also recorded in this database). Dankworth is a respected jazz vocalist in her own right and reguarly appears in concert and she has released a number of albums.
