Femi Elufowoju Jnr was born in Hammersmith to Nigerian parents. He was educated in Nigeria between the ages of 12 - 21, returning to the UK to study drama. After abandoning a career in Nigerian law, he trained at Bretton Hall, West Yorkshire. Elufowoju Jnr founded the British-African theatre company, Tiata Fahodzi. His other classical credits include playing Mephistophelis in Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus for Commonweal Theatre Company in 1992.
