Romeo and Juliet (1996): Haworth Shakespeare Festival
There is little information about this production, but it appears to have been a multi-racial production. The news reports about the production during it's tour of the US were identical so it is likely the press release contained this description: "Set in modern-day South Africa, the British company's production will retain the Bard's themes of filial rebellion, youthful passion and first love, common denominators in any community or country where domestic feuds exist." It played at Montgomery County Community College, in a suburb of Washington, D.C., although no other venues or casting have been confirmed.
